Casa Los Troncos, designed by architect Sordo Madaleno, is an absolutely spectacular waterfront estate located in a most imposing position overlooking the Nuevo Vallarta Marina and the ocean. Just a ten minute drive north into neighboring Nayarit from Puerto Vallarta’s airport, this home remains one of the most impressive homes in the whole of the Bay of Banderas.
Entering the house through the oversized wooden entrance doors, one is led down through a pathway surrounded by abundant red bougainvillea flowers from where the eyes are drawn to the dock below. Turning into the grass covered central courtyard, notice the modern water feature and fountain on the left, situated underneath majestic yellow columns. From here, step down into the sunken entertaining area, where umbrella covered chairs and tables are set out near the barbeque, and comfy cushioned areas area are laid out under a tiled roof terrace beside the pool where you can relax overlooking boats and the ocean beyond.
With seven bedroom suites, the home is perfectly designed to cater for a group or family rental. The master suite comprises a spacious double bedroom, a huge bathroom, living room/study, therapy room with massage table, private plunge pool and gardens. On the other side of the house are four large double bedroom suites, as well as a specially designed two bedroom annex for children, each bedroom equipped with a double bed, single bed, and cots. There is also a cinema room with projector for watching films in comfort. The house has the advantage of having two full kitchens, indoors and out, which means dining al fresco is a breeze.
The gardens are a tropical oasis of flora and fauna, where flowers tumble over the gardens edges to the canal waters below, and benches are placed under the shade of the trees for a moment of quiet reflection or reading.
Should you feel more active, play a game of tennis on the private court. Local amenities include beaches, shopping center, sports center, horse riding and a number or world class golf courses. The home also offers a 46 foot fishing cruiser that can be rented for an additional cost (with captain), so that you may go diving, fishing, explore the secluded local beaches, or simply take a day out in the bay spotting humpback whales, dolphins, manta rays and turtles. With a full time staff of 12 people, comprising cook, maids and gardeners, you will have to do nothing more than relax and unwind in this luxurious home.
